Mayra developed a passion for flowers early, helping her grandmother and mother with floral arrangements for church events. She studied flower design at INTECAP in 1999 and furthered her skills at an Ikebana school and seminars by Smitherson Oasis. After 13 years as a freelancer specializing in event setups, she joined Anything Grows in 2013, where her floral artistry thrived. Her heart lies in tropical designs, reflecting her roots and love for the craft.

Welcome to our floral sanctuary in historic Hopewell, VA, established in 1992 by Russ Vergara. A family-owned shop, we've had the privilege of learning from Russ for the past decade. When he retired in 2023, we realized how much this shop had become our home, and we decided to carry on his legacy. Now, as a mother-daughter duo, Mayra and Madeleine, we blend tradition with innovation in every arrangement.
